Remapping Caps Lock to Ctrl

For you Windows users out there! If you’re anything like me (a VS Code user), you mash the Ctrl key every few seconds because it part of most shortcuts. Minimizing the sidebar, searching for file names, doing a global search within files, etc…

My left pinky started hurting because the left Ctrl key was awkward to reach. I remapped the Caps Lock to function as Ctrl and voila! my problems were solved. Caps Lock is so much easier to reach, and there’s nothing to miss because programmers never use Caps Lock anyways.

I personally used SharpKeys on the Microsoft Store to achieve this remapping. PowerToys is also a great alternative.
