If you’ve enjoyed my previous post on Remapping Caps Lock to Ctrl, here’s another remap I highly recommend: changing the right Alt key to function as Esc.

The Esc key is surprisingly versatile. It’s used to close modals, exit fullscreen on YouTube, dismiss posts on Reddit, and more. For Vim users, it’s used for exiting insert mode and returning to normal mode. However, its default placement at the top-left corner of the keyboard is far from ergonomic, especially if you frequently need quick access.

You can easily achieve this remap using either SharpKeys or PowerToys, both available on the Microsoft Store.
