In Windows, clicking a window brings it to the foreground. This can be frustrating when you want to interact with a window without it hiding another one you’d prefer to keep visible.

Windows PowerToys has a solution for this: Always on Top!

Always on Top

Ensure PowerToys is installed on your Windows computer, and then ensure this feature is enabled in the settings.

Then, press Win + Ctrl + T (or whatever keybind you have configured) to assign a window to be “always on top.” This ensures that this window stays in the foreground, no matter what else you click. A border will appear around this window indicating that it is pinned above the other windows.
